Here's my tiny paper currency collection. Pretty sure it's worth about $8

to CCF. I bet that first star note is worth $8 all on it's own.

We all start somewhere! Are they all circulation finds?

They were all actually Easter egg finds. My grandmother worked as head teller at a bank and she used to put these in plasic Easter eggs for all the grandkids. Those and 1964 Kennedy half dollars. I have a few rolls of them uncirculated still in the bank rolls.

That alone makes them worth a lot more than $8

I usually ask for old or odd coins or notes every time I find myself in a bank. A few months ago I struck about $60 in those red seal $5 United States notes, which I sold on ebay for a little over $75. Not much profit, but just barely enough to make it worthwhile.

I would be sure to keep these separate, and include a note explaining their significance.

Be careful. US currency can sneak up on you and starts DEMANDING you spend $100's for a $1 note.

Honestly I'll probably never buy paper currency (but I have considered buying special currency items from the different years the kids were born).. I'm more of a silver and gold kind of guy
