1970 Denver Minted Jefferson Nickel With A Weird Mint Mark

I have this 1970 D Jefferson nickel with a weird blob next to the mint mark, and I was wondering what caused this. I don't believe it is a RPM, but I'm not even close to being an expert. As always, thank you for the help!

Definitely Die Deterioration Doubling.

Did you mean 1960-D? 1970 nickels did not have mintmarks on the reverse.
