Does anyone use any type of carrying case for your Dansco albums? I am looking for something that can house 4 or 5 albums. Something as simple as a plastic Tupperware type container would do just fine. I just can't find one. I found these for my blue PCGS slab boxes. 2 of them fit nicely. Looking for something similar for the Dansco Albums. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...e=UTF8&psc=1Thanks! Edited by ngs428 07/08/2018 2:28 pm

It might help if you explained what you are trying to accomplish. Are you carrying your albums around to coin shows or club meetings? Taking them back/forth to/from a deposit box? Just storing them?

I would use it to carry the albums around the house and to store them on a shelf. Main reason why I am looking for this is to have a better case (I currently use ziplocks) to create the micro environment. It would be the albums and some silica containers in this larger container.
Basically, I am just looking for a rigid plastic airtight container that fits Dansco albums well.

Let's try a diffferent angle..
How do you store your Dansco albums?
Right on a shelf, not in a ziplock? In a ziplock? Away at the STB?

There are plenty of plastic bins to be found at hobby stores and the like. I haven't gone that route but I suppose you could take a tape measure to the store with you and find the one that fits best. I'm sure you could jazz them up with some homemade gaskets and silica gel packs to help with the moisture. Now, more than a dozen albums are likely to get pretty heavy and could flex the thin plastic walls of a tote (or whatever) if you lug them around. Me, personally, I keep some on a bookshelf (1st pic), and some in my safe (2nd pic) that has a basket of silica desiccant packs.

For me, in Ziploc bags with silica gel packets, in the safe.
Not on a shelf. I live in a bad neighborhood!

I like the look of the albums on the shelf, but I have had too many crazy things happen to coins. I have to get some sort of microenvironment. I am currenty using the Zioploc bags with silica gel containers. I don't trust the bags after they have been handled a bunch. Searching for containers has pointed me toward pet food storage containers. Tall and thin. Something like this is what I will try out tomorrow hopefully... https://www.irisusainc.com/airtight...mp-230-black

Quote: I don't trust the bags after they have been handled a bunch. I understand that. A more rigid container will do you good. Quote: Something like this is what I will try out tomorrow hopefully... Good luck! Let us know how it works out.

I have DampRid hanger inside closet area to keep it dry, it collect moisture and even if temperature fluctuate somewhat, it does little to change condition to the coins.
So far, my silver coins hasn't tone and paper hasn't colored.

I am using the same canisters as you have with your quarter album. Nice reusable canisters.

I put my albums in corrugated cardboard or polystyrene boxes, and just push those under my bed, next to my computer.
May need kliplock plastic bags bags with silica gel (as pictured) in high humid climate, but I don't have to worry about this issue.
Never been a fan of 'push in' albums, with the possibility of fingerprint stains, where coins can rub, can tone on one side only, and can be seen on one side only.
