Just bought this coin in a lot from a local estate which had some WWII era asian coins.

I don't know anything about it but it looks older than some I've seen sold as tourist items and it has not seem on the edge from an obvious cheap casting.

What do you think?

Canadian dime for scale:

It looks similar to one I saw attributed as emperor Sheng Tsu (1662-1722).

Kangxi copper cash. Very common example, probably genuine as it's too common and inexpensive to be worth counterfeiting.

Yes, you had the emperor correct & "gg_cu" was correct with the reign title.
Dynasty: Ch'ing (1644 - 1911)
Emperor: Sheng Tsu (1661-1722)
Reign Title: Kang Hsi (1661-1722)
Mint: Board of Public Works Mint, Peking. (I believe! Either that or Board of Revenue Mint, Peking)

Thanks. It's neat to know it's age.
