Couldn't pass this lovely little gem up, especially when I matched it with a scarcer variety, Overton O-113a. Check out that reverse die crack starting under the C in 50 C and running left to the you in UNITED! Another one can be seen over TES in STATES. I really like the tone & surfaces on this one, and so did CAC, it seems; what do you think PCGS graded it? The obverse seems VF-30 while the reverse appears VF-20, so I'll say a net VF-25. Great pick-up!

Surprised this one didn't get more input. No moxking, even. But thanks to those of you who did reply, because you almost all nailed it.

Quote: Surprised this one didn't get more input. Try shorter page titles. It works for me when I post a coin for grading. After a long day of work, when I skim through the grading listings, sometimes my eyes will glaze right over a listing if the title looks like a full sentence. If I would have seen '1826 capped bust half for grading', I would've responded. Nice coin and congrats on the pickup!

Beautiful Circ Cameo, I could look at these all day!!
I am not as familiar with this series re: strike issues, ad before I saw the reveal I was guessing VF30, so this has been informative and educational as well as eye candy :)

You almost need the attribution book when you grade them to see what issues to expect for that variety. It very likely did get squeezed a bit for the funky verse strike. Beautiful coin regardless

The reverse can look VF-35 and the obverse AU-55 in some cases. So when grading these you have to take into account that many of them are weakly struck on one side or both sides. I agree with Baseball, it's a beautiful coin with original surfaces.
