Might be nice if 1) you showed the dates and a larger group of less per pix and 2) told what the heck a Long Nock is!

I'm assuming some kind of VAM, but for us who aren't familiar with the terms, might be nice, ya know?

Sorry ... All the coins are 1878s Morgan dollars, Long Nock refers to the arrow shaft between the feathers (where a bow string would fit into the arrow) on the earliest dies of the 1878s that "nock" is longer and extends out even with the feathers.... there are 10 known VAMs associated with this... all 10 are considered rare (R-7) with a couple being considered extremely rare.

These are the 3 rarest of the 1878s Long Nocks... Do the research and find one of these three and you will really have something special!!

According to the 14th edition VAMview price guide....

VAM 60 in VF condition $4,000.00

VAM 62 in VF condition $1,500.00

VAM 72 in VF condition $5,000.00

Happy Hunting!

DD, thanks for pointing all that out, I assumed it was something like that, Judy nice to have that new tidbitof knowledge.

And indeed, quite some feat! A whole Lotta Benjamins in that stack!
