Just Post Strike Damage. It's a Parking Lot coin. The metal has been pushed and flattened. This didn't happen at the U.S. Mint.

I took this to my friend in town and had him look at it. He told me if you were truly coin guys you would see this unfold in your head. Quadruple stamped coin with smear trails. Rotated the way of the arrow on the bottom but stayed vertical in the press. It might have been the coin that was stuck in the collar as the press stopped? The arrows point to what is the bottom left corner of the monument. :)

I see a 1975 Pinto doing a burnout in a parking lot and poor Abe was under the tire. That's what I see unfolding in my head!

Your friend needs to do a lot of research on coins. This coin was damaged outside of the U.S. Mint, and it's 100 percent Post Strike Damage. It can be safely put back into circulation. That's the end of the story. Please listen to us. We're correct. Don't listen to your friend. Quote: Time to find a new coin friend. I agree with you Bobby.

cuzimcute, you are doing the right think by asking questions and posting various pictures.everyone is trying to help and provide you with the best information and unfortunately this is not what you and your friend want it to be! imagining and the reality are Two different things. , this coin has been driven over in a parking lot and has been scraped and damaged, just throw it back in the circulation and move on!you will find a good one sooner rather than later. Quote: I got yelled at for not taking better pictures, and using proper lighting. Sorry, I don't see where you were "yelled at." Quote: He told me if you were truly coin guys you would see this unfold in your head. We are. It's just that your friend doesn't know much about coins and the minting process. It is 100% Post Mint Damage. ( PMD) Quote: Quadruple stamped coin with smear trails. Rotated the way of the arrow on the bottom but stayed vertical in the press.
