Great additions and an interesting variant letterform of the second letter A in CALMAN that comprises two angled, but not touching dashes with a pellet above and a pellet below. Odd, but not all that unusual for this to differ from the first A letterform.
Thx for sharing!

Thank you,Palouche and Bob L. I keep procrastinating with the gallery and the new Cataloogue of Arpadian Coinage makes identifying the sigla varieties so much easier. Before buying the books I thought I had redundant coins, but were different sigla varieties.

Quote: and the weather is cold here 16c Brrrr... ...wait, as in 16c above zero? If so, you're seriously lucky. It won't get anywhere near that warm over here until April at the earliest. (Which won't stop me from going to coin shops... including the outdoor markets. I've been known to regularly visit the Vernisage in January at several degrees below zero. I do admit that picking through bargain bins is considerably more complicated when they're partly covered up by snow...) On-topic: have you [EDIT: referring to EddieDiz now] received any new pre-1504 single-year types? I'm looking forward to seeing some of those in the Fifth Edition...

A bunch of the familiar Madonna style denar legend variations. 1. 1507 K-H under King Wladislaus II with VNGAR/VNGARIE legend variation. The reverse (Madonna side) is double struck. 2. 1509 K-G under King Wladislaus II with VNGAR/VNGARIE legend variation. This one really looks nice. 3. 1511 K-G under King Wladislaus II with VNGARI/VNGARIE legend variation. 4. 1512 K-G under King Wladislaus II with VNGARIE/VNGARIE legend variation. 5.1514 K-G under King Wladislaus II with VNGARI/VNGARIE legend variation. Does that Slavonian denar stray a bit from your main theme? I have been really tempted to get one because I really like the design, but have resisted (so far ...). They show up occasionally on the Polish auction sites. Another nice set of pickups!
