Just got this in change today. Looks like a partial collar error I think. What I am wondering about is the flat area on the edge. Not sure if it is PMD, or if this is something that might have occured because the collar was not in the correct position. Not the best pictures, but the best I can do for now from my phone. Thanks!

That's a Partial Collar error indeed! Very nice find and congratulations! Although, that's too bad about that big fingerprint on the obverse though, but still a good circulation find!

Yep, that's a partial tilted collar. That's a really good find!

That huge scratch on the edge in the 5th pic is unfortunate though.

Looks more like a damaged coin to me. Note how the flat area is wider than the coin? Note how where there is reeding it is missing and still showing ocassional single reeds?

Coop, isn't the flat area supposed to be higher than the reeding, as the metal is being pushed out past the collar? Also, how would it be higher than the reeding and be damage, wouldn't that make it lower than the reeding?
