Hi. I previously posted a question about places to buy quality coins at reasonable prices. I should have listed the types of coins I collect: Liberty nickels, Barber dimes and Quarters, Standing Liberty quarters, and Walking Liberty half dollars. I'm a new collector and thought I should ask the forum. Thanks in advance.

Hefty question . While we all want good places to buy coins at a reasonable price ; for the coins your into , ebay would be best for you . Just tread lightly in there ,scrutinize those seller photos with an Eagle eye and you'll do just fine .
Rest in Peace

Value you are comfortable with is essential.

If you are looking for under $50 items I'd recommend local coin stores, coin shows, and ebay, in that order.

If you are buying $50-$200 coins, Great Collections.

For $100+ Heritage.

For Even higher average value, Stacks.

moxking has said it right. That has been my strategy for decades, except that I don't use ebay, because I always prefer to look at any coin in hand first, before deciding to buy.

ebay has by far the largest inventory and selection at $200-300 and under.

to the CCF!

Find an area coin club. Often, these will have member auctions. You can network with area collectors therein, find reputable dealers and more. Akin to the CCF, avid collectors, those who belong to clubs, love to help and encourage newbies.

Gold & silver buyers are great, not all look at dates & mint marks.

Only place I buy from is at a coin show. Always the best place to find and buy coins. And as you go often enough, you get to know dealers and get even better deals.
