This was a bit of a ripoff to be blunt with you - I bought this for almost 24 pounds and the ebay - oh yes! :( - seller used various tricks including a far-out small image and good lighting to improve appearance of copper condition together with the description which said that this would not just be given away I have set a reserve for this!
Here is what I got.

Would you be happy with this for the price I paid?

No I would not be happy with this coin at that price! Can you return the coin for a full refund? If not check out BradThad's "Hot Topic" on copper coin corrosion.https://goccf.com/t/30324

I can't get a refund and I still say this is bad (the corrosion) for the overall condition (grade) of the coin.

Maybe all you can do is let ebay know your dissatisfaction. Did the seller site a grade for the coin in his listing? Not that it would matter but just curious if he assigned a grade and if so what was it?

I am very sorry for your misfortune and must say it stinks. Let others know of the seller so they too don't get stung! Negative feedback would work!

I am not worried enough to go to ebay, it wasn't a complete ripoff! just a little bit of a dodgy deal..
