Hello, I'd like your opinions on this coin of 2 Lire 1958, an Italian rarity.
I know that the coin is real, not a fake, as I got certified by an Italian expert.
The fact is that there is not luster (and no wear) at all, then the expert told me that for him the coin was cleaned, and assigned a grade of AU because of it.
What do you think? A matte surface instead of a cleaning it would be very different?
Thanks, have a good day
Roberto

Given the condition of the fields, and the fact that there was no such thing as a matte 2 lire in '58, I would agree that the condition is too high for this coin to lack lustre without having been cleaned. However, no tell tale signs may be seen from a picture due to the low oxidation of aluminium.

Nice coin.
