I have this penny that is damaged around the edges. It's also light on weight. Could this be a wrong planchet?

to the forum. you would be better served to start this thread in the U.S. error and variety section. this is the Canadian forum.

Note coin is out of round. A sure sign of PSD. Probably the edges were rubbed on a sidewalk? Look for someone with burnt fingers. LOL

To CCF! You unfortunately have a damaged coin. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint) The metal has been pushed over and flattened.
