11.5x face is pretty much the spot price for silver at this time, so that is quite a fair deal.

That is what several coin shops in my area are asking currently. I'm considering purchasing some soon. Halves command a premium at some of the big bullion sellers so I try to get them when they are in the junk silver bin and are in decent condition.

Most sell here on CCF as an unspoken standard of 13.3X, I've seen ebay and others at 15%, some pawn shops are 20% sell, 10% buy.

I would not pay more than 11x face, and it's not that hard to find at that.

Scammed definitely isn't the right word. That could be pricey yes or could be okay depends what you got. Not all junk silver is equal

You can get nice, crisp 90% silver Kennedy halves online shipped to your door for right around 12.5 x face, usually free shipping, check the big vendors online.

It depends on the coin, Walking liberty halfs and any Barbers with some meat on them I would pay more for.
Possibly up to 15×fv.

I buy World junk silver by ASW BV, and buy 90% American junk silver the same way.
For 90% American silver junk, that works to be
slightly less than 10X FV just now. Mostly dimes that come this way.
Accumulated from World silver junk bins at coin shows. Not able to call it 'collecting'.

Australian junk silver comes per each, the focus is on these, not American coins.

Monument Metals has $10 face for spot (halves, quarters, and dimes). Only one per customer. Obviously a great deal right now!
