What is it about this coin that makes it a 'Key" date to get?

What makes this a key daye is that it is a variety. Of the 1.2 million made in 1946 only 300,000 are flatbacks. Here are some pics of a regular florin and a flatback... the first is a standard florin the back on the Kiwi is sort of rounded. The second pic is of a flatback, notice the back it completely flat
