Unfortunately there is not much anyone can say about your coin until you post a clearer picture.

The only way it would be a doubled die is the ear location. Anything else altered is probably Machine Doubling. Check Wexler's listing for the States. There is only one proof that is not an earlobe issue. Rest are all that. Just the center areas of these coins could have a doubled die. Outside center, probably not a DDO. That is the way they are running on them. Same on the ATB Quarters also.

You should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

Why Topic Titles are Important

The title of your topic is very important. Let's say you need help attributing an 1896 Morgan Dollar....

  • Horrendous: Help!

  • Bad: Need help with coin

  • Better: Need help with Morgan Dollar

  • Good: Need help with 1896 Morgan Dollar

  • Awesome: Need help with VAM on 1896 Morgan Dollar

This enables the members with expertise pertaining to your question to easily find and answer your question. The title of the topic also becomes the title of the topic's web page, which enables us to attract more collectors to the site. The more members we have, the more we learn.

reflection from too strong a light. Sometimes the glare will hide what you want us to see. Best to rotate the coin and left the light fall over the devices, rather than put a spotlight on them.
