I recently began looking at coins for errors and things and noticed a small die crack on this Peace dollar. I haven't seen this particular crack in other pictures yet and wonder if it is simply too small to be considered at all. *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. ***

It is the beginning of a die crack but still a die crack. With each strike the crack would gradually get larger.

Peace dollars, especially 22 and 23, are rife with die cracks. Other than as interesting finds, few contribute to value.
In fact, some early years are tough to find WITHOUT any die cracks.

That is so true moxking. The best one I have is the line in the Tiara version.

Does not increase the value of the coin.

Thanks for all comments.
I'm pretty much learning on my own by looking at coins and reading here and there, and this forum has been the biggest help to me.

It really needs to be a die break for it to be of any interest (read value added)in the Peace dollar VAM arena.

That's a nice Die Crack, but the Peace dollars from those years were loaded with them.
Errers and Varietys.

They were also struck very poorly.
