I found this cent while coin roll hunting and thought it was very interesting.

To CCF! This isn't an error. It's just dried up sticky residue, maybe glue? It's Post Strike Damage, since it happened after it left the U.S. Mint.

A dip in acetone will remove that glue...

Looks like Two Cents were glued together with some gold-colored glue, and some of that glue stayed on this one when they were separated. See how the bays in the memorial are not recessed, but raised.

Thanks for the information. Love to learn new things. I'm so glad that I wear gloves when I go through coins. Some pretty gross ones out there.
