Very nice black patina cameo.
Cameo certainly helps with eye appeal.
F12.

Reminds me of some rather nice ancient bronze and silver coins, with the same degree of wear.
Rest in Peace

Please get "black beauty" out of your head. Take any nickel and apply low heat for some time and you will have blackened it. This one appears to have suffered environmental damage, rather than toning, as their is evidence of the corrosive spots in several areas, both obverse and reverse.

This is an old nickel and an acceptable example for a beginning type set. But it's quite easy to get better examples of this date for moderate prices.

This is environmental damage, not beauty. Black nickels do not generally come from the mint looking black.
