1934-S Peace - Accurately Graded And Opinion?

LibertyEagle20 Pillar of the Community United States 1192 Posts	Posted 07/21/2018 1:06 pm This graded AU-58 straight grade. Do you think that is accurate? What is your opinion of the coin? Note: It appears there is a hit above the eye and a few on the chin but I think that's fairly common for this particular year. Is it a good example for the date/mint mark? Thanks. As far as I know, you would be VERY hard pressed to find a full strike on a 1934-S. You'd probably be spending 5k+ even if you located one. These coins are extremely conditionally challenged, I would never even consider a MS coin due to their high price unfortunately. AU-58 is even a big stretch. What do you guys think of this one? Is it more solid for the AU-58 grade? By the way, I don't own any of these coins. I am just shopping around online with the hope to someday own one! IndianGoldEagle Bedrock of the Community United States 36800 Posts	Posted 07/21/2018 5:23 pm The second one is definitely nicer than the first. But I am still have trouble going AU-58 on this one. A 58 is actually a slider Unc and usually has the very slightest of rub on the high points. Once again this one has a little too much circulation for me. This is a high dollar coin and TPG's tend to be more lenient with the grade on them. If anything they should be tougher on the key dates but it's just the opposite. Report this Post to the Staff
