VF-35. Liberty and back hairlines are a bit weak.

This is the Bob Nobody's "Nobody-45" variety, called the "Hockey Player Face" by copper collectors due to the gash on the bridge of the nose...

..in all seriousness, it's a nice coin, at least VF35. It will conserve nicely. I like it.

It's close to EF, but that verdigris has penetrated the surface hand will likely leave porosity.

Does anyone have a Newcomb number for it? These are sellers photos, when it arrives I'll post new photos after an Acetone bath.

I would think XF-40 unless the nose gash brings it down. Don't know how the TPGs treat those.

I agree! IGE, you may remember the 1909-S VDB I purchased. I took a gamble an it cleaned up nicely. I really like the Verdi-Care product, works great.

Coin arrived today and I'm real happy with it. Great chocolate color and the gunk on reverse should come off with Acetone and Verdi-care. No surface damage that I can see.
