I so exited to be part of this forum, I just starting hunting for error on Lincoln pennies , and I think I found a dd on the letter b of liberty could you please give me your opinion , the pictures were take with my IPhone and the madnifier pointing the coin . coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/22/2018 1:00 pm That is very slight Machine Doubling. Not a doubled die. This happens after the strike and while the die is rising, the bumped that edge of the device. Often more area affected. If you look close you will notice that the devices are reduce. Also the affected area is just on color. On the other devices near there you see color change as the devices are still contoured. On MD doubling the color is all the same as it is flattened and no longer contoured. Report this Post to the Staff

It's Machine Doubling on the B, since the device was reduced in size, and it's shelflike (flat) in appearance.
