I am not an expert but the two you show below your find are a different font. I believe your mint mark on yours is orientated normally.
Wait for someone more knowledgeable to confirm.

Thank you. My English language not perfect. I didn't know that the font is different. The below photos for 1946 S from doubleddie.com

update: I think you are right, it is normal. I compared it with the wrong font.

No pro, but your coin and the photo showing a normal mint mark are both trumpet style.

The one you are comparing it to is a MMS=006
1946-S Ball serif is the one that was inverted.

There's was no inverted mint mark for the 1950 S LWC. That only happened on the 1946 S LWC, and it's the only known LWC with an inverted mint mark.

A little known example of inverted mint marks are on Mercury dimes.

Coop, I would like to say thank you for sharing that picture with the inverted S mint marks on the Mercury dimes! Another new thing I've learned today!

I posted this in another thread, but the 1910-s rpm-003 Lincoln is a inverted S/inverted S . 1946 was not the only year this happened.

Since Coop posted some inverted S Mercs how about a 1953-D inverted D Washington quarter. Of course a normal D was punched over the inverted one.
