I wonder that when you give a comment too fast did you look through all the pics closely or just because your experiences so you just look at the first pic E-n-V. You said the MD will make device smaller but in this case I see it bigger. I know it MD but I want to know why that notches is there also. Thanks E-n-V Report this Post to the Staff
Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74758 Posts	Posted 07/25/2018 1:18 pm The first time I looked, I looked at all of them thoroughly. It's not a Doubled Die Obverse. If you look at these pictures from varietyvista.com, this is a genuine Doubled Die, because it shows a strong spread of the devices, and there's an increase in size. This was done in the die making process. There was a mistake in the hubbing process, because of the die moving out of position when the hubbing was in process. Your example shows Machine Doubling and Die Deterioration Doubling, which was caused by the strike, not by the hubbing process. I hope this helps Errers and Varietys.
