Was reading online and saw this article. Really disconcerting that they have no idea of what happened.

I generally distrust banks, especially large operations like BoA. This is yet another reason to rethink their use. Sheesh!

Bank of America and Wells Fargo are both major crooks. It is a shame they never seem to go to jail.

Very interesting article. Looks like someone figured out the perfect crime. Not sure how wide spread or isolated this might be. I just never had the need or interest to put my valuables in the hands of strangers and pay them for it.

I agree with Jbuck, support your credit union. I use a box to hold my Morgans.

and the same goes for "Credit Unions." They are banks using different terms for the same thing. I don't see a tangible difference between the two.

Disagree. Credit unions are not-for-profit and owned by the members.

I refuse to keep anything in a safe deposit box. No way, no how. Too many people have been ripped off and taken to the "bank" with those things. There's laws & rules in place...sure, but criminals don't follow laws or rules.

I wonder who have suffered more losses. People who have had stuff stolen from their safe deposit boxes, or people who have had their stuff stolen from their homes?
