Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 75050 Posts	Posted 07/27/2018 9:07 pm I can tell you one thing. It's definitely not a Mint error. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). Someone took their frustration out on this poor cent. It was intentionally damaged. The coin may have been hit with something) Note the dents on the surface of the coin. When the coin is dented inwards on the one side, it makes a bulge on the other side. The curved line on the coin looks like the coin had hit with another coin. When just one of these events happen, the coin is done as a collectable. They all them Cuds. Worth face value. If it were a valuable coin coin the value would drop 90% in value. Keep this in mind for coins you purchase. Pass when you see them. If you buy them, they are very hard to resell.
