If you look at the reverse of the penny under the steps on the left side it looks like there is a die strike. Guess I am not really sure what to call it.

Possibly a clash. Hard to tell for sure from your pics. Again need a closer shot of the area in question.

You have a Die Clash on the reverse, and also have heavy Die Deterioration going on the obverse as well. http://www.error-ref.com/die_clash/
