Came across this coin and would like to know what the mark on his face is. The mark is not dented in or scratched in it's actually flat with the rest of the coin so It doesn't feel like it was hit there. All info is appreciated.

If you can better pictures, that would be great. I can't tell if it's damage or not.

Hey E&V - do you think that might be a zinc bubble that burst?

Mark, it could be. It's possible, as long as the Copper plating breaks, and exposes the Zinc core. Better pictures would help us tell for sure though.

Kind of looks like something was poked into the coin. Abe looks like he has a toothache?
