Coin scratches are incuse. Die scratches/gouges are raised on the coin. Any thing made incuse on the die, ends of raised on the coins. Die crack, chips, broken posts and breaks. Any metal missing from the die, raised on the coin. (A die is the negative, the coin a positive)
