Ladies and gentleman witness a coin that flew too close to the sun. Two years ago this one was my only love hence lovedmycam. These go routinely now for 50-60% book value. This one is tricky so graders go for it.

John1 you busted me. I like coinfrogs grade. What do you think the odds are on getting an MS60-61 RB? I have looked at pics of over a dozen different AU 50-58's and several low MS BN and RB examples and in my rookie opinion this thing could upgrade or at the least get a CAC sticker. Of course I'm biased, paid 17 for the dang thing. Opinions on any realistic chance of an upgrade are welcome. Just be gentle please :)

Cammy, not getting a sense of MS from these pics. The obverse is too... mottled? Not sure just what it is, but that drives my perceived grade to AU58, but will also say a slider. Meaning in hand, may hit MS60. Still, one heckuva find!

Thanks, the reason I threw this one out there is it just looks significantly sharper in hand. Didn't find it but boy would I like to. This one went on the block for 1G and not even a nibble...I pulled it after 2 weeks. In early 2017 these were still hot but now kinda slow. Hoped to sell this one, buy one of the $900.00 specials in AU out there and use remainder towards the last one I need the 1992 P Close AM. I was beat out several months ago on an MS-60 1992 P that went for 2300, I stopped at $2,050.00. That one got away from me. I am bound and determined to get the 92 Philly one of these days. Its all been a learning experience, I learned to cool my pipes and buy more carefully.

Just saying as honest feedback - we usually wait a few days for these 'guess the grade' posts before you (OP) reveal - your 7 hours is a bit of a new record.
I'm going with lovely rare coin - thanks for sharing

Badthad unbelievable pristine Close AM proof. I notice there is no attribution from NGC on the slab, did you skip the variety attribute or was this a cherrypick? The coin is a definite centerpiece. Great eye appeal on coin.
