I have been looking for coins from this King's family. I have a coin of his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, 2 of her son Richard, and one of Henry himself. I am still missing a penny of bad King John. If anyone know of other family members I am missing please let me know. Wile surfing around CGB today I found 2 more coins whose figures are connected to the family of Henry II. The second one is another son of Henry and Eleanor -Geoffery Plantangent. The other one is a coin of Eleanor's former husband King Louis VII of France. Louis VII The Young Type : Denier Date: n.d. Quote: I particularly like that portrait of Louis. Me too! Should you ever get to France, be sure to visit Fontevraud for its Plantagenet connections. We saw it for the first time last May. Spectacular.
