Came across this coin and would like to know if it is considered a double die or Machine Doubling. I'm seeing like a shadow on the date. All info is appreciated..

I'm going to take a guess that this is what you are in reference to. The area in RED circled of the 7. That is MD, it has reduced the size from the original (YELLOW). GREEN circles...don't know. Is it a shadow perhaps? There is a 1973 DOUBLED DIE () that has a doubled center bar, but nothing on top, so assuming it is just a shadow.

BUT... what you may want to do is check here, on the reverse. Is this the same on your coin?

If so, check the other markers on the obverse as seen here on coppercoins.com, you just may have one, it will take a bit of matching tho, can't tell from your pix.

Not a Doubled Die Obverse. It appears to be normal.

The mark on the OPs coin looks like a die crack on the roof of the building.
