Maybe someone can shed some light on this nickel. It has a raised circle on the montecello building. Please give me your thoughts. It looks like the same color as the coin itself.
Looks to be a milling center point that is a bit off-center. The magician's coin is made by coring out a portion of the inside of one coin as this one. The milling starts at near the rim and moves inwards to the center. Then one oppositely milled coin (edge cut down, thinned) is glued into this cutout for a two-sided coin. The locator must have been off and this got rejected.
