I don't see Hitler at all on this coin but the question I have is: why would you want a coin with his image carved out on it?

I don't, I was bidding on several contemporary carved Hobo Nickels to add to my novelty coin page. Just noticed a similarity of profile once in hand, although Chaplin is close too, hadn't seen it at first, chill Chester!

Unfortunately Adolph Hitler is indeed part of history that needs to be remembered and not repeated as us humans so often do. Humor can be found in the darkest situations of life.

Yeah, the holocaust, I can see the humor in that.

Humor is found in the attitudes and "soul" of the individual, not the situation. Many of the Jews celebrated their religious beliefs with joy in their hearts... Christians even celebrated Christmas, what little there was helped lift their plight, if but for a moment.

You ever heard the phrase "battlefield humor"? Being in deadly conflict is, oh, a tad bit stressful to say the least. One has to "blow off the pressure" somehow... It may appear bleak to others, but ya, you had to have been there to fully comprehend.

Oldtimer that I am, I see Chaplin, a.k.a. "the little tramp" .... His image is better suited to grace a "hobo" nickel.

Odd information though. I never realized that Hitler was not on any coins. I wonder why he didn't have that done.
