I picked up a good friend of mine(a coin collector), that had never been to a coin show, and off we went. I went to look to fill 15 holes in my Barber half book set, that I had started about 5 years ago. Walking down my first isle, I came across a complete set for sale. I've never bought a complete set, but I did yesterday, along with 10 rolls of Indian Head cents. I'll try and post some pics, but if you know me, I'm the one that struggles to post pictures here.

Yep me too, I don't know squat about American coinage but always interested in seeing a nice looking collection. So what are you going to do with the set you already had on the go? Sort through both to find best of what you have and the other? Perhaps sell that one? Finish it and sell, pass it to a friend?

And did your friend find the show interesting and buy something? Just curious

I've been called a hoarder, but I'll probably just keep my incomplete set. My friend had a blast, he didn't purchase anything. We will be back! The highlight of my show, was to handle a $40,000 coin, purchased by a local dealer I knew.

Can or will the moderator removing my Help pleas, please email me? I didn't expect my post to remain where it was, but the removal has me perplexed? I've tried replying to the removal email, but without response. A simple explanation would be appreciated. I read your rules, but I don't see where I'm in violation.

It likely got moved to the general discussion area from the last post I saw. It just said removed from public view, not actually removed. PS if you were referring to the robo calls if you stop answering them they start to slow down and go away

It has nothing to do with coins and you are not opted into general discussion, so it can't stay.

Not sure what your talking about. Isn't this where you wanted you trip info to appear? This is one of the first Saturday coin shows I've heard of except all the big ones that last several days. By me we have 3 shows a Month an all on a Sunday. What did you have to pay for the Half Dollar set? I have several sets of those too and sure would like to upgrade all of them to much higher graded coins.

It's typically held on the first Saturday but for schedule conflicts with larger shows. I counted about twenty dealers present this past Saturday. Attendance was good in the morning but scant later on.
