Deb , It's a 1960-D large date in average circulated condition . Value $.01 .

Just a regular circulated 1960D cent. There were over 1.5 Billion minted so even in uncirculated condition, there is not that much of a premium.

oh ok thank you! can you explain to me why those older coins like this one look so much different than the coins that we find today? I have some from the 1970's they just look and feel different than the coins that I find in my change today.

I mean like some are really smooth and seem heavier than the others. I guess is what I am trying to say.

The coins from mid 1982 and prior are made of 95% copper. After that they switched to copper plated zinc. The copper coins are heavier and look different. They also age better.

Right, no premium here, especially with the apparent environmental damage on the reverse. to the CCF!

Common ones in the 40-50's from circulation are worth 2 or 3¢ apiece.

Unfortunately the 1960 D LMC is very common and is worth face value in that condition. The 1941 P LWC is worth 2 to 3 cents.
Errers and Varietys.

Not only do they look different, they sound different. Once I pointed this out to my 12 year old, she picked every copper Lincoln out of a pile of cents when I dropped them on my desk.

Your 60D is a spender, worth 1 cent. These are plentiful in mint state condition. In fact, if you search enough coins from a bank, you'll eventually find one in mint state. Here's an example of one that is collectable:
