1995 LMC With Lms Struck On Obverse And Reverse

Helli all,
I have come across a 1995 LMC that has the sbield struck on obverse and reverse. Yoy can even see the words Unitrd States of America too all along the rims of both sides both upside down and right side up. is this coin going to be worth anything? I vant seem to find anothet one anywhere to check for myself. strange coin lol

That's not an error coin unfortunately. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). This is not possible to happen at the U.S. Mint. It's a squeeze job. Someone got a Lincoln Shield cent, put on top of a Lincoln Memorial cent, and smacked with a hammer, causing the details from the devices to get transferred onto your coin. http://www.error-ref.com/squeeze-jo...-garage-job/ The letters are incused, which means it was damaged. If it was a genuine Double Struck coin, it would look like this, and the letters would not be incused. Also what made me look at it was the fact it seemed enlarged a bit. like flatter

Yes - mirror image of the coin itself and what should be raised above the surface of a coin is actually incuse
