one side bright shiny silver the other side shiny yellowish color... any opinions I posted on other forum this might be a better forum since it may be an error..... I am new bare with me on this....

To clarify, I put this next to a regular silver nickel. The coin on right is bright silver on the back and yellow gold front and side, only the back of coin is silver. Both sides are shiny.... This picture does not do the coin justice, it is pretty..... Any opinions, does not seem like environmental coloration... like something went wrong at mint... Looks like some kind of error.... Thanks

This didn't happen at the U.S. Mint. It's Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint), not an error. Your coin has been in circulation for awhile, and has went through surfaces changes.

Thanks for the information, I figured this but I have to say if you see this coin it is weird.... I cannot explain it and picture does not show well. Anyhow, no biggie just a nickel : (

It's called toning. Coins can get toning from their environment. Basically, it is not a mint error.
