Yellow Gold Color On Nickel - Coin Community Forum

The coin on right is bright silver on the back and yellow gold front and side, only the back of coin is silver. Both sides are shiny.... This picture does not do the coin justice, it is pretty..... Any opinions, does not seem like environmental coloration... like something went wrong at mint... Looks like some kind of error.... Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

It's Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint), not an error. Your coin has been in circulation for awhile, and has went through surfaces changes. Errers and Varietys.
