Listing not "removed for good." Listing removed for now. Anybody involved with removing counterfeit coins will atest to the fact that sellers will many times just relist, sometimes almost immediately. Not unusual to see the same coin/bar listed 5 or 6 times, .

Well, it's ebay, so what do you expect? There's plenty of dumb sellers on ebay.

Quote: There's plenty of dumb sellers on ebay. It's not the sellers that are dumb, It's the buyers. They don't do their homework or are looking for the deal of a lifetime. About 90% of these sellers know exactly what they are doing when they list a counterfeit, altered or misdiagnosed coin. You could write a book on some of the ideas they have for a listing to try and entice some bidiot to make a purchase. It only takes one uninformed buyer to fall for their line and make a purchase.

Quote:This counterfeit 1955 Double Die ( LWC) keeps showing up on ebay. Are you sure it is the same one, and not just another example from the same counterfeiter? I'm pretty sure those folks making fake slabs with genuine serial numbers don't just make one of them. You could probably buy ten of them fakes from the counterfeiter and all ten would have the same serial number.
