I just found a 1996 $100 bill with an x after the serial number is it worth more than it's fave value and how much would it be worth if so?

So it's nothing special ? I never seen one with an x before . I thought I had came across something that's worth keeping .

Except for the letter O, they use the alphabet as they print notes, starting with A,B,C etc.
If it has a star it is a replacement note - they are worth keeping.
A note with a serial number 100 or under is worth keeping.
Some people like "radar" notes - 1234554321 - reads the same left to right, right to left.
Some people also like birthdates, 01241978 (Jan 24, 1978)
Newer bills generally need to be crisp, no folds, sharp corners and centered to carry premium...

Welcome to CCF.

The New York District $100's went all the way up to the letter Y in 1996. A cool note to own would be the 1996 $100 Cleveland Star (AD*) with only 160K printed.
