Quote:There's literally a couple hundred of Mexican gold 50 Pesos on ebay alone I suppose, if you like plated jewelry. The 50 Pesos I bought at $1300 gold spot were cheaper than what's available now. My big box vendor hasn't carried them for months.

What about this one? 352454389132Quote:There's literally a couple hundred of Mexican gold 50 Pesos on ebay alone. Yes, they are available for purchase, but not at $1300. I don't understand what the beef is with gold bullion coins being more expensive than they used to be.

Quote: Yes, they are available for purchase, but not at $1300. Yes, but we don't get to set prices. Just because something is gold or silver doesn't mean it can't have a numismatic premium. There's a big difference between something being unavailable and someone not being able to get something at a price they want.

Spot value of gold in a 50 peso is ~1446 USD. And there are plenty of them available for a small premium.
