What grade would you give this one?

For the level of wear, which is heavy by any standard, the planchet has no major distractions giving the coin nice eye appeal. I agree with a Good grade, perhaps even G-06 for the overall appearance. There is a slight glossy appearance in the images that I assume is not an actual problem when the coin is in-hand.

Looking at the boldness of the strike in spots especially the left wing and complete lines in the shield I have to go VG-8 on this one.

Thanks all for the comments. I broke this one out of a IGC holder listed VG-8. I bought it at a show last year and paid less than VG-8 money. The color has a purplish tint to it. Others have told it was probably stored in a leather or cloth pouch of some type. I don't think it has been monkeyed with and will straight grade. I think I going to submit it to ANACS next weekend at the Dalton, GA show. For $10 I don't see I have much to lose.

the strong date and wording on both sides point to a very weak strike. I had it at VG8 but if its resubmitted not sure if it would come back that high

I was thinking the same thing. Not that big a deal what the grade is I just wanted it out of the IGC holder. If it comes back G-4 I wouldn't be upside down. It appears the CCF consensus may squeeze out a 6.
