The curling iron is from march 25 1890. I'm gonna fix the bowl and build up the missing pieces with apoxie sculpt. Ill put another picture of the bowl in when its done too.

Heres the bowl fully modeled. I gotta do the detail work then paint it. Then Ill put a shiny gloss to make it blend in.

Out of curiosity, whats that bowel made of? It looks like porcelain, but since you found it metal detecting, I can only assume it will be made out of metal.

The bowl is made of porcelain. Its circa 1880s hand painted details. I found it metal detecting at an old foundation. The metal detector went off on a curling iron. The bowl was beside the curling iron.

Old bowls like that are made with a leaded clay that why it beeps w/MD

The bowls made of porcelain. The metal detector didnt go off on the bowl but what was beside it a curling iron from 1890.

Thx for the replys. Considering the bowl turned out halfway decent I'm going to a location that is loaded with pottery and stuff that I think I could model up the missing pieces. It would be a neat project for me to do. I'm also gonna start picking up all the broker bowls and cups and see what I can do to repair them. Ive never bothered with broken stuff before but I'm gonna start now.
