I am looking at purchasing one in F-12 grade. Can anyone tell me if there are certain ones that have more value. What would a fair price be to purchase one in this grade.

Notes in Fine grade are usually not very appealing, so I would recommend low to mid-VF if you can. What sort of budget are you working with? Do you want it in a TPG holder or not? Only two sig combos in this long series carry significant premiums in circulated grades, so you'll have plenty of others to choose from.

Frog is spot on IMHO..get one with bright paper, I would get a higher graded note with super eye appeal,over a signature combination...unless you plan to put a set together

My LCS has one in F-12 for $175 CDN. I planned to talk him down. Just curious if this is over priced. I plan to contact them and get the signature and serial numbers tomorrow.

Way overpriced for a true F-12, which usually isn't that much to look at. Is it in a holder, or is that his opinion? At our local bid board it would bring $125 tops.

I mean, I love the Black Eagle, I just think being patient and going for a nice clean VF ($200 or so) is the way to go.

Thanks for the advice, Mr. Frog. I'll tuck this knowledge away for when I'm shopping for a Black Eagle, which, after I've seen some posted recently in other threads, may be sooner rather than later.

I recently upgraded and sold my VF30 for $150. Be patient, which will help you grow your budget, and buy something attractive that you won't want to upgrade later. I learned my lesson the hard way. It's currently a buyers market.

Your LCS is in Canada I presume? Otherwise it wouldn't be local. So your $150 Canadian would compare to about $120 US for comparison purposes. I would hold out for a VF at least.
