1978 P Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC . Worst Case Of DD I Have Ever Seen

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5240 Posts	Posted 08/21/2018 2:54 pm I found this 1978 P LMC with what appears to be possibly the worst case of DD I have ever seen. It weighs 3.10 gms. I don't think it has been chemically altered due to its weight but I could very well be wrong. The rim is affected but not the collar. Thoughts on this orange peeled monster? Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 08/21/2018 3:01 pm worst case of doubled die? Don't abbreviate Die Deterioration that way, confusing! The pitting is a sign of acidic action on copper. This could be straight acid(nitric, sulfuric), a soil content, but most likely took a bath in CocaCola. Report this Post to the Staff
