It is a MD Machine Doubling. The doubling is spread on one direction on one side of the devices,it is flat and shelf like.Good eye!

It is Machine Doubling. The 'classic' style. True hub doubling will enlarge the devices. MD reduces the devices.

Common to find. The die was normal and altered after the strike. So it is not a doubled die. Just worth the coin value. When the coin graders find MD on coins, there is no mention of a plus or minus for the graded coin.

It's Machine Doubling, since the devices have been reduced in size, and it's flat (shelflike) in appearance. http://www.error-ref.com/machine-doubling/
