I found this 1985 P nickel and it is so smashed up in so many places that I am having difficulty telling if this is a Machine Doubling or if it is a doubled die.

It's Mechanical Doubling and VLDS on a very damaged coin. No premium and a safe spender. You can tell by the flat shelf devices on the date and the reduction in size of the devices.

That's severe Die Deterioration Doubling on the devices. That was caused by a Very Late Die State issue.
