I have 2 pennies from the same year and mint side by side under a pc microscope and I noticed a difference in the a and m in America. Can I get some opinions from fellow collectors on whether I'm seeing right or not. Thanks !

Dray that looks like a close 'AM' vs wide 'AM' and also try to split your posts into a new thread if you have a question like that, and include date, mint mark (if applicable) and denomination in your titles.

I split your post to its own thread. looks like you have one WAM and one CAM. What is the date of the LMC?

This is an issue of Different dies, the lower has been modified and the left leg of the M is skinnier than normal, the distance between the A and M is the same on bothe coins meaning both are Close AM's

I think they are both Close AM. The M is not centered between the A and E on either coin, which is one of the diagnostics on a Wide AM.

These are both close AMs. The only differences are circulation damage and staining.

Do I see a difference? Yes. Two different dies or die states. Both seem to be from CAM RDV"s. The remaining two markers would hopefully confirm when you're ready to show the whole reverse. Thanks, Doug.
