I live in the upstate of South Carolina I finally found my first 2008-(P) LMC in change.

My next step is to check for design changes. Are there any known changes for the 2008 cent?

I know its off topic, but is it normal for it to take so long for a coin to get into circulation?

How long it takes depends on where you are in the country, and how much turnover there is in the coins in your area. If coins tend to stay in circulation annot leave there is seldom a need for the banks to order in new coins. For example in my area nickels tend to stay in circulation and do not leave. We almost never bring in new ones. I have only seen nine post 2002 nickels in the past six years in circulation here. Two 03's, two 4's (both keelboat), two 05s (both ocean in view), two 06's, and one 07.

The 2007 cents just recently started appearing, and I have seen one 2007 dime. I've seen one New Mexico quarter so far for 2008 (I'm not sue if I've seen all of the 2007 quarters yet.), and we haven't seen any of the President dollars since Washington.

The mint mark on the Denver ones look more unique than any other year. I like the rounded devices of the 2008 Cents. Now if I could just get a box with some doubled dies (Class 9) in them, then I could cash in on them. (It's a dream of all variety collector except Robert Tingle and he just hope to find another batch to go with his previous boxes of varieties.)
