It's called a Grease Filled Die...and a rather large one too. They normally don't carry any premium but since it covers most of USA...i'd hold onto it just for kicks and giggles

Ya the steps are smooth also. But like grace outcast said the die was just a little full of grease.

I also agree, it is a Grease Filled Die. It looks to be a very nice grade as well. Very minimal contact marks on Obverse and Reverse. Hold on to this one, it is nice!

I put another picture on my original post for ya to check out. It almost looks like it could also be a Close AM also. What do you thank Amac? I will do a more detailed scan and post it later.

Wide AM...that part is normal. It is, as noted struck by a filled die.
